Density of copper: The density of various types of copper is summarized as pure copper. The density of oxygen free copper is 8.9 (g/cm3), the density of phosphorus deoxidized copper is 8.89 (g/cm3), and the density of processed brass is 8.5-8.8 (g/cm3).
Density of copper: a summary of the densities of various types of copper
Copper (Cu) is the 29th element in the periodic table, belonging to Group IB, with a relative atomic mass of 63.54. It is the first element in the metal element series, including silver and gold, with a density of 8900kg/m3. It is a relatively heavy metal with a melting point of 1083.4 ℃ and a boiling point of 2360 ℃. Pure copper has a bright pink color, and after polishing, it presents a bright metallic luster. Copper does not have magnetism, but has moderate strength and hardness, and excellent abrasion resistance.
The density of pure copper, oxygen free copper is 8.9 (g/cm3), and the density of phosphorus deoxidized copper is 8.89 (g/cm3),
The density of processed brass is 8.5-8.8 (g/cm3), while the density of cast brass is 7.7-8.55 (g/cm3),
The density of processed bronze is 7.5-8.9 (g/cm3), while the density of cast bronze is 7.45-9.54 (g/cm3),
The density of white copper is 8.4-8.9 (g/cm3)
